 This Thunderchief was initially delivered to the 67th Tactical Fighter Squadron/18th Tactical Fighter Wing at Okinawa, Japan and transferred in 1967 to the 355th Tactical Fighter Wing at Takhli, Thailand. It flew missions with both the 354th Tactical Fighter Squadron and the 357th Tactical Fighter Squadron until joining the Kansas Air National Guard at McConnell Air Force Base in 1970.
After eight years with the Kansas ANG's 184th Tactical Fighter Training Group, 61-0176 served with the AFRES's 457th Tactical Fighter Squadron at Carswell AFB in 1981and 466th Tactical Fighter Squadrons, before being retired with 5813.1 flying hours to its name.
