  • 63-13243 @ DAY - My only shot of an active F-104, this F-104G was at the Dayton International Air Show. It was used to train German pilots at Luke AFB. Transferred to the German A.F., then later to the Republic of China A.F. in Taiwan. - by Glenn E. Chatfield by Glenn E. Chatfield @ DAY

I posted crash date and location from Baugher's site, but he is 10 years off - I happened to notice his date is two years before my shot! Searching the web I see where this plane was used in the movie "The Right Stuff" in 1982 and is probably why it was at the Dayton show.
