| This was my airplane. I was a crew chief on this plane when it was an A model. It was stationed at Castle AFB. I worked on this in '87-'88! I actually when to Tech school for R models @ McConnell AFB, but was put on this bird at Castle! She looks GREAT! |

| Thanks for the photos! I was a Crew Chief on this plane 1981-1984. It was an A model so I had to heat the water during the cold winter nights on the alert pad at Ellsworth AFB SD. for the wet takeoffs with the J57 engines. I also had clean the starter breeches after the cartridge starts for the alert pad as well. Fun times and great memories. |
