 As A-11286 to US Navy Jun 1, 1945. Converted to F6F-5N target drone Mar 1957. SOC Sep 1961. To Victgory Air Museum, Mundelein, IL. To N80142 with US Marine Corps Museum, MCAS Quantico, VA Sep 28, 1967. To W. C. Yarborough, Marietta, GA Jul 30, 1971 and modified for skywriting Sep 1971. Then to Staggerwing Service Center, tullahoma, TN Jan 17, 1972. To Thomas H. Friedkin, Rancho Santa FE, CA Jul 23, 975. Registration N100TF reserved by Thomas H. Friedkin Oct 1, 1975. Damaged when nosed over onlanding at Elsinore-Skylark Airport, CA Dec 4, 1976. registered 100TF to Cinema Air, Houston, TX Apr 12, 1978. Damaged Apr 3, 1979 in forced landing at San Marcos, CA Registered N100TF to Chales F. Nichols, Baldwin Park, CA Dec 28, 1983. Rebuilt using parts from BuNo 08831 and center section from BuNo 40467.
Registration N10CN reserved Dec 13, 1989, but registration not taken up. Registered Dec 31, 1990 as G-BTCC with Fighter Collection at Duxford, UK. Displayed in USMC colors with fake BuNo 40467 as flown by Lt Alex Vraciu of VF-6 aboard USS Intrepid (CV-11) in mid-1944. Refurbished 2008-2014 and still G-BTCC with the Figher Collection.
