This same aircraft was used for many years as a teaching aid at the Slisbury Composite High School Aircraft Maintanance shop in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
My brother and I attended the school and he was enrolled in the course in 1974 and 1975.
The Cub had been totally rebuilt and the engine reinstalled by that time and appeared complete.
My brother and I used the J3 as a prototype for a scale model we built over 2 years using a SIG brand RadioControl kit. We took many photos and used the full-sized aircraft to document and detail the model.
I do not believe SalComp High School has that program anylonger, but we do not know of the disposition of this aircraft.
(sadly, our model no longer exists)
