Rebuilt by Salis Aviation with MSN SAM2-367 as a replica Mitsubishi A6M Zero. Appeared in the movie Empire of the Sun [1987]. Reregistered Jun87 as F-WZBK; reregistered 1989 as F-AZBK. Reregistered F-AZHD 02Dec92, current [Jun16]. Rebuilt by Salis Aviation as a replica NA-68 with MSN SA-30. Rebuilt as a replica F6F Hellcat. Shipped to Vietnam. Used in making of film DIEN BIEN PHU (1992). The film was shot in Vietnam, north of Hanoi, in Xuan Mai. The film employed two North American T-6s slightly modified to look like the Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat of Aéronavale. The top of the rudder was made more square, the second seat was removed and the back of the fuselage raised, the sliding canopy simplified. The engine was equipped with a three-bladed propeller.
