The aircraft was allocated for use by Rolls Royce as an engine test bed. Registered as G-ALPF, it was converted to a tanker for delivering fuel and took part in the Berlin Airlift. In May 1951, the registration G-ALPF was cancelled. In Aug 1951, the aircraft was re-registered as G-ALPF by Fairtravel Ltd. In Dec 1951 the aircraft was acquired by Fairflight Ltd. In Oct 1952 the registration was cancelled. |
