G-APJU on 3rd July 1968 while waiting for departure from Heathrow's Bravo stands fully loaded with pax was at 17:27 hrs, struck by an Airspeed Ambassador G-AMAD which crashed on landing killing the crew and cargo of horses. The Ambassador also destroyed a Trident and seriously damaged another (G-ARPI) which later crashed near Staines. G-APJU was only lightly damaged and returned to service shortly afterwards.
