The "current" registration to Aero Accessories Inc. in Gibsonville, NC is not really still valid. They bought it from Dean Franklin in Miami as a stripped out and disassembled hulk in 2000. By late 2005, the fuselage had been sold to Sam Damico in Pittsford, NY to use to try to rebuild N327 (c/n 1051) which had crashed and burned in Feb. 2005.
Contrary to its last FAA registration, "37793" is its former US Navy Bureau of Aeronautics serial number and as such not valid for civilian registration; the correct Grumman msn or c/n for this particular aircraft is B-46.
It may have once had a "current" airworthiness certificate with an "issued" date of 1973, but ALL Grumman G-21 series aircraft were built ONLY from 1937 until 1945. I see people making that mistake all the time - i.e. confusing the date on the A/W cert. with the actual Mfd. date.
