My father and I built this plane when I was 12 years old. It was modified with conventional landing gear. My father also gave it a lifting body noting this plane would not stall with power on. At a later date the open cylinder cowl was replaced with a nose and engine cowel from a Taylor Craft. A variable pitch prop was installed a year or two before it was sold.
