This plane was built as C-47A 43-15550 and delivered to the USAAF during April 1944. No record card is available for wartime service, but the plane did serve post-war with the USAF. During 1962 the plane was in storage at Davis-Monthan AFB, but later that year it was registered with the FAA as N162. On 5/22/64 the plane was registered as 60S-AAB with the Somali AIrlines at Mogadishu, later being re-registered as 60-SAB. October 1970 the aircraft was again U.S. registered as N925 with MIACO and leased to Pyramid Airlines. In mid-1985 the plane was in storage at Malaga, Spain still in Pyramid Airline livery. On 4/23/86 the plane was sold to ATC Inc, and registered to them 6/3/86. In July 1986 it was registered to Global Equipment Leasing in Reno, NV, who re-registered the plane as N512GL in March 1987, and later that year it went to Basler in Oshkosh, WI. SOC Mar 3, 1990 as "parted out". Nose sold to Pall Mall Clothing Co. in Holland to be used for display purposes. Nose for restoration Jun 2006.
