My father rebuilt almost the entire airframe when I was a kid. This is the first airplane I ever took the controls of.

I received checkout flight in this Skyhawk when it had 16 hours from new in November 1966 from Virgil Hegle CFI 1288311 at ANE. I subsequently flew it several more times in MN and WI recording 12 landings total day VFR. Fine flying aircraft with the smooth Continental 145 Hp six, even smelled new!
