A friend of mine and I owned and flew this aircraft circa 1953-1955. We purchased it from a UAL AE mechanic. The Kinner engine he installed in the airframe was the last one from production line. We based it San Jose, CA at Reids Hillview. We kept it hangared. I took it xcountry to Winnamuca, Nevada. Not the best choice xcountry.
