Took instruction and soloed in this aircraft in 1946 when it was new and based at Tri-Cities Airport near Johnson City, NY and owned (or leased) by Hitt Flying Service operated by Raymond Hitt. My instrucor was Charley House. Sorry to read of its loss in 1992, but it had a long life. | |

Owned this aircraft from 1972 to 1982. Kept it at El Monte,CA airport .... Put over 1,000 hrs on it. Fun airplane. Set it up for IFR ... Took forever to climb to assigned altitude. Got tired of pulling cylinders ... Sucker would eat a valve every 300 hrs or so. |
