I worked on this aircraft for 3 or 4 different owners in the 1990's. The shop where I worked had done the last overhauls on its engines - and they were the key to its upkeep. The last owner that I knew replaced it with a Cessna Citation because the jet was cheaper to operate - because not long before that happened, he brought it in for an oil change and we found 4 cracked cylinders. He ended up topping both engines (12 new cylinders, each of which retailed at the time for about $2,100.00!) It was a $30,000.00 oil change! |
