Craig, i enjoyed reading your post on 11A. Back in the mid 70's i got the flying bug as a young teen, sitting right seat with my father flying her. Many trips, short and long, we lived right at the end of the grass strip where she was tied down. Back then going for an airplane ride was about as common as going in the car. I was trading work for lessons back then, but never got my ticket. Not until 1998. The place i took lessons had a 1962 Skyhawk with the manual 40 deg. flaps so i chose that particular aircraft simply because of nostalgia! Glad to see 11A looking so good, thanks for putting up your post.

Our family owned this aircraft for approximately 20 years. I earned my Private license in 11A. However, the aircraft is technically a 1956 model built in November of 1955. In 1985 I flew 11A to Oshkosh with my grandfather and owner, Richard Fehling.
