Fun airplane. It was used by LifeWATCH Air Amblance for many years and was based in Wichita, Ks. I flew it many times and was a good bird. However, for the new guys who never flew a 'straight 90' with not reverse, landing on 3,000 foot country airports was alot of fun to watch them sweat. Added new meaning to land on the end of the runway and use maximum effective breaking without skidding the tires. Even had one guy shut the engines down on the runway trying to put it into reverse. Sure got quite except. I asked him if he would like to change out status to glider. |
