My father, Elmer Barney, built this airplane in our garage in El Cajon, California, which is near San Diego. He worked every evening and all weekends for four years to build it. N55BB stands for Barney Barney and 55 was the number of his modified race car. It was painted a patriotic red, white and blue design. It was thrilling to experience aerobatics with my father at the helm. He died in early October 2009. |
