I was watching AG and was curious about Aunt Bee's a/c. Slight error in previous posts - N59558 is a Bell 206 Helicopter. Tail number is incorrect. Aunt Bee's a/c is actually a Cessna 182 tail N5955B. This link shows current status.

This aircraft can't be the same one that appeared on the Andy Griffith show. That episode appeared in 1967 and this particular aircraft (N59588) wasn't manufactured until 1974.

agree with the previous post. this should be a cessna 152. thought it would be fun to see what happened to this aircraft after seeing it on the old andy griffin show.
