What a surprise! I haven't flown in years (marriage does that to a old pilot), but while surfing the net I came across the tail number of the aircraft I part-owned with my friend back in Trenton, New Jersey in the late 70's. Can't believe it's still flying... and it's still in the same area. We had it tied-down through Ronson Aviation at the Mercer County Airport back then. I have some old pictures of this aircraft if anyone's interested. We had it flown up from South Carolina by the previous owner, then spent some time rebuilding the cockpit brakes, dash, new tires, and other features. Did some of this in my old basement. Once I found out I was moving out-of-state, sold my share to my friend. I believe he had the wings rebuilt around 1978 or 1979. I also have copies of the "Service Instructions for Franklin Aircraft Engines, Models 6A4-150-B3 and 6A4-165-B3", plus a copy of the original "Handbook of Instructions - Bellanca "Curisair Senior" Model 14-13". I could scan them and convert to PDF if there's any need. Just thought I'd pass the info along. Regards Jim |
