N780 is the original registration for the Fish & Wildlife converted turbine Goose that was improperly attributed to McKinnon (he didn't actually "build" or convert it) and registered as an actual McKinnon model G-21G (it was not!) It was really a "Fish & Wildlife Service" model G-21F but that "design" was never approved as such. It was also later registered as N92MT, CC-CTG in Chile, N86MT back in the US again, and finally as N221AG. It crashed in the United Arab Emirates in Feb. 2011. |
