I was the original owner of this aircraft. It was bought new in July 1980 with a friend. We wanted to learn how to fly and on the way driving to the local airport (Manassas, Va.) decided to buy an airplane. Walked in, said we wanted to buy and they said what kind, we said we didn't know because we didn't know how to fly, but if you teach us we'll buy one. It was $40K new. Piedmont Aviation operated the FBO at Manassas at the time. Original color was a light tan with dark blue and brown stripes. Two-axis autopilot, encoded transponder and a fan. High luxury. It was on lease-back with Piedmont for approximately 2 years. I will post some pictures at a later date. Jeff Warner |
