| I saw this aircraft in military markings in 1979. She was with the Sir William Roberts collection at Strathallan. She was an engineless hulk and was laid up in the open. My photo of her is at abpic.co.uk where is she now |

| Firefly N833WD was originally registered WD833 and as a teenager I was allowed to play in it. It was located in a paddock beside a premises of R.H.Grant Trading company in the Melbourne suburb of Nottinghill. The owner sold the land to a Garden business(1967/68) and he offered the plane as an attraction but the new owners declined. I was about 14 at the time and talked to the owner of the plane on occasions while I was playing in it.It then moved around Victoria a few times(Australia) before being sold to the Strathallan Aircraft collection, Scotland, then Nick Grace. After that it moved onto the USA.
See Flightpath magazine Volume 23 number 3.(Australian)
