 If this is the ex AF 43-48705A I was the C/C Engineer on it at Clovis N.M. 1955-56. It had a "Steam Heat System" one of three I understood that the USAF owned at the time- it was COLD but fast and had a much better cruise speed then our others. If it is the 43-48705A there should be several scab patches on the right side of thefuselage that went from rear wing to cockpit bulkhead- but none on the right side- maybe bullets came from the inside out- had Glider Tow Cable installed. Would appreciate any feed back- I am currently involved in the restoration at the NEAM in Ct. on the WW2 Douglas B-26 43-22499 Reida Rae. The C-47 had R1830-92s at Clovis.
