This aircraft was operated by Narrogin Flying School in the seventies. It had a simple white and green livery in those days. Instructors John Douglas (ex CFI Royal Aero C,lub WA) , Dave Walker ( killed in a spinning accident Port Hedland), and later Steve Hvala (rookie from Melbourne ) trained students of the Northam aero club on weekends at the old Northam strip at North Noggajerring and later from the new strip closer to town. This aircraft was the beast in question in the crash comic article, "schools out" (also online) PWE was a super aircraft and much loved. She had a recurring front oleo problem which was temporarily repaired with garden hose threaded with fencing wire wrapped around the strut. I did most of my PPL in her and air test at Cunderdin in 1970.
