I worked on this aircraft when the nose was replaced with a single seat bubble canopy in order to test fly AI 18. This was at Defford in Worcestershire and the work was carried out by Boulton Paul Aircraft of Wolverhampton. I believe it was test flown by Benn Gunn, but its been a long time ago... | |

I worked on this aircraft as a junior draughtsman at Defford in 1954. Was also flown by Geoff Dunworth and possibly "Dickie" Mancus, At the time also Gun Pack ,Green Satin and Tay Viscount projects. Barry Hellawell was Engineer from BP Wolverhampton |
