  • NONE Airport - 78E at a duster strip west of Woodland, Calif. (O41) that I would occasionally land at. Once landed my C150 and was rewarded with 2 nicks in the prop. Never did that again! - by S B J by S B J

  • NONE Airport - Panamint dry lake was once well used for all kinds of recreation. The pole behind 246 was a nice windsock. That and other things (stakes & rocks)indicated large airplane use at one time. After years of inquiry,I failed to learn anything more. - by S B J by S B J
  • NONE Airport - Orvis ranch in central calif which was active in the 50s & 6os. The left hangar housed a Twin Bonanza C50 with a Cub in the far hangar. In the early 70s I flew over the C50 a mile east. It was only the fuselage.Never found out the story behind it. - by S B J by S B J

  • NONE Airport - Bob Ried strip in the Sacramento Delta near Rio Vista,Ca.The 1200 foot was fine for Bob in his Super Cub (N6995B) but not my Tcraft until I departed away from the trees & water but downwind.Even then it was tight with the little experience I had in 1973. - by S B J by S B J
  • NONE Airport - Bob Ried strip (private) near Rio Vista,Ca. It is seen in the middle of pic in 1973.It is where I learned that a 65 Tcraft does not get off like a 150 Cub due to short strip and high grass.Very near a NTSB statistic that day!! View is west. - by S B J by S B J
