Airport InformationAlbertville Municipal Airport (8A0) Located in Albertville, Alabama, Thomas J. Brumlik Field serves the Sand Mountain area of North Alabama. The natural beauty of picturesque mountains surrounding the Tennessee River attracts thousands of visitors annually. The airport is just nine miles from the Tennessee River home of the largest fishing tournaments in the south, and within a 45 minute drive of two Robert Trent Jones golf courses. Visitors will enjoy shopping at local outlet malls and retail stores while enjoying the beautiful Sand Mountain area. Albertville Municipal Airport has one runway. Runway 5/23 is 6,117 feet long by 100 feet wide, has a new asphalt overlay, and has a full length taxiway. It has pilot-controlled lighting, AWOS, REIL, PAPI, GPS and NDB approaches. The field is open during daylight hours Monday – Saturday and from noon to sundown on Sunday. Seventy percent of the traffic is corporate and thirty percent General Aviation. Albertville Aviation provides a modern FBO facility including a spacious passenger waiting area, executive conference room and corporate pilot lounge, computer access to weather, wireless internet, and car rental. JetA and Avgas fuel are available at competitive prices as well as flight instruction, pilot supplies, and aircraft rental. MidSouth Aviation is also located on the field providing major power plant and airframe maintenance and service. Nearby Callahan Aircraft Services offers aircraft structural engineering, modification, and FAA-DER services. Our annual Airport “Family Day”, the first Saturday in May, brings local residents and visitors to the airport to enjoy food, airplane rides, antique cars, and lots of airplanes and helicopters of all types.
