Can anyone give me the real name for Maynard Farmer airport? Hint, if you lived in So Cal in the '70s and '80s that name might be familar. :D

I suspect you know the answer. Without looking, it may be an entry in Freeman's Fields. Should this Forum be a quiz contest? Just asking.

This forums is not just for quizzes, but as the name "Chitchat" says, anything avaition related or not can be put here, as long as it's appropriate, i.e, no porn, no spam, no advertisement, child-safe.

An Al Lohman fictional character apparently though there are numerous
real Maynard Farmers who have lived over the years. Wouldn't have a clue about the airport. As a guess I'd plump for Fullerton though I should really only
comment on things I know something about.

All the best

Bob

Correct! You even got half of the L.A. radio duo who created the character Maynard Farmer on KFI radio back in the day -- Al Lohman and Roger Barkley.

The most famous pilot to fly out of "Maynard Farmer Airport" was legendary traffic reporter Bruce Wayne ("KFI in the Sky") who, unfortunately, lost his life when his plane went down, I think back around 1986.
