Ken,

I was trying to load some photos today and after I navigate to find my pics and click OK, everything under the Upload Queue shows like this....

IMG_1148 N90TX GPM.jpg
Server (IO) Error

...and then then they all disappear and nothing is in the Manage Photos side...

Tried a couple of times today.

Thanks,
Zane

Zane, I just tried to upload 4 separate sets of photos through the workshop and I didn't recieve an error.

Rolling Eyes I did have a problem sending some an acknowledgement for a profile I corrected a couple days back, but it was my computer that was corrupt. I haven't had a problem with "Upload"

Was the file size correct?

Walt

Walt,

Yeah, all was as normal. Same size as always. I tried one and then several, all had the same reaction. I was able to manually load a photo with the New Aircraft Photo button with no problems.

I have seen a few Unable to connect to server screens in the past few days but those were short lived...a few minutes at most.

I will try on another machine and see what happens.

Thanks
Zane

I have recently been getting the same Error Message-Cannot connect to server-try again later-when attempting to edit some older photo captions; but edit function works fine on new uploads.

I checked Zane's upload folder, it looks fine.

Doug, is the problem you were experiencing repeatable? If it is , please send me a photo ID which cause this problem.

Ken,

If it happens again on an older photo edit-I will send you the photo ID. Multiple tries (even later) give same resulting message.

This message shows up when the database server experience an error while executing a statement. Sometime it's caused by the server itself, sometime the info user has entered, For example, in a few cases, single quote (') may cause an issue.

Thanks chaps.

Seems like the problem, which Ken highlighted, was caused by the apostrophe in the manufacturer's name i.e. O'Sullivan.

Here's a screen shot of an example of what's happening to me...
It's just on the one machine...so...who knows.

Ken, I have confirmed the Server Error I noted above is caused by an apostrophe in the caption that fails to upload the photo and data ONLY on a RE-EDIT of an older photo. New uploads with an apostrophe in the caption upload OK for me. Strange?

Sounds like a failure to sanitize the string before doing the SQL UPDATE -- that's exploitable by script kiddies and should be fixed ASAP.

Doug, I suspect if you input two single quotes, you'll get the desired result.
