N902MW

FAA Registration was canceled in Nov.1983 by Airborne Express, upon donation of the airframe to New England Air Museum.

UPDATE:
N902MW is being reported as scrapped, August 2010, by the museum. Sad
Any confirmation, as I haven't visited Windsor Locks, in more than 4 years.

Also wonder if they'll receive one of Trump's fleet, to replace the caravelle.
B.727 maybe??

Walt,

Saw that previously on wiki, too.
NEAM website still lists it as a featured aircraft, but no details, or photos.
I had seen a web photo, posted somewhere, of the cockpit, minus all of the instruments and other goodies.
NEAM's website isn't really updated very much, anymore.

Was a great place to spend a day or two, in the 70's before the tornado of '79.
They lost more than 35 airframes; after that event many of the staff, volunteers, seemed to have left.
I had high hopes, that the collection would again expand when they moved to the backside of the airport, and added new buildings.
Seems many of the restorable aircraft were sold off, to finance the construction of new buildings.
It's more business oriented today with only a fraction of the aircraft, that they once had.

John

Birdnyrd,

Thanks for the Updated pix. Would never have thought, it would wind up on Craig's list.

Walt,

Yep that's the cockpit shot (2010), I was referring to.

Here's the shot, taken in 1984

Shame, not that many caravelles survive today.

John
