Looking at some photos I want to post, when I do a search of the registration,eg.C-GTDC,it shows not known and asks me to add aircraft data. After I research and enter all the data, immediately photos for that particular registration show up.This has happened many times with other registratrations. What gives?I am not a computer expert, just an enthusiast and photographer.Thanks.

That's normal.

Aircraft information (we call it aircraft profile) and photos are organized separately. If a few visitors uploaded photos for a given aircraft, which does not exist in our aircraft profile database, it will be the situation you described.

Once someone create the aircraft profile (like you did), all existing photos will be linked automatically (via registry number) to the profile page.

I am trying to find the link to add new aircraft data for picture 6590, and USCG HH-65C. I have added in the past and this time, for the life of me, can't find where to add. Is it better to create data before uploading?

Easiest way to get the "Add Aircraft" page is to go to home page, and search for the aircraft registry number. If it doesn't exist, you will be brought to the "Add Aircraft" page automatically.

Thanks for sharing,

Ken
