Aircraft with the same registration

Good afternoon from England

I'm having a few problems adding data where aircraft have the same registrations.

The French Air Force / Navy, for example, have no less than 10 aircraft with the registration "4"

This has caused a problem with existing aircraft on the system, added Mirrage 2000C No. 103 which also bought up a picture of a TBM 700, also with the number 103

Any help / guidance would be appreciated

I did a search on registry number 103, only the Mirrage 2000C come up with exact the same number. I can't find a TBM 700 numbered 103?

But in general duplicated aircraft numbers has always been a problem. There're many reasons behind this, such as reissue same number to different aircraft over time. Currently we only handle US duplicates (list all of them on same page). I am still looking for a good yet not-so-time-consuming solution.

There is only one aircraft in data for 103, but if you view all photo's there is a TBM 700 as the last picture.

I think some people just put pictures on and then when the Data is added it picks up all aircraft with that number.

I tried to add a second "103" but it came up with an error

I'm happy to help out, especially for European Military - perhaps sort a standard numbering system for duplicates

I run into the same problem. My pictures from 2004 show a plane with a registration (that was correct at that time) but this registration has been given in the meantime to another plane.
N200BH being my first example (see very recent question on the forum) : it is now a Gulfstream and it was a King Air.
N711HE being my second example : it is unknown in the database but I have found a Dassault 2000EX through Google on various websites including this one (!?!?!?!) whereas it was then a Cessna 750 Citation X.
N744X being the third example. It is now a Hawker 800XP and it was a Dassault Falcon 50.
What shall I do ? just add the picture on the (at that time) right registration ? I did that for the N744X.

When you find a different plane with the registry you had, there are some things you can do. For instance, I just posted a plane I rode in in 1994, N790RH a T-34A. It is no longer listed. So, I went to the FAA data base and looked for serial numbers, 55-0233. Well, this was one that wasn't registered in that fashion. Fortunately, some of these military birds you can find the manufacturer's construction number. In this case, I checked on Joe Baugher's site and got the c/n, then looked at the FAA registry for that serial number and found the T-34 now is registered as N790JW, which is how I posted it with a note about its old number. So if you can get c/ns for the the plane that has an old N-number, then you can find the new one and post it under that new number.

I tried, but for some private small props, it is not always easy. The same when I don't see the registration on the plane I want to upload. I spent hours yesterday trying to find the plane again on others sites...
By the way, beg you pardon for the many tippos in my previous message. Corrected them now.
