N8346H

This aircraft was used for a pretty spectacular Shocked flight stunt sequence on an episode of the television drama The Unit, on 09Oct07. The episode was entiled "Always Kiss Them Goodbye", and I'd recommend watching for it during rerun season if you missed it the first time around. Turns out the 'plane is available for rental from an agency called Hollywood Aviators at Van Nuys Airport (VNY). If you plan to rent it sometime soon, check out its gear and lower fuselage real well first! Exclamation

That stunt sequence was largely due to the miracles of Hollywood special effects and the computer. No contact was ever made and the flying was safely done by a professional Hollywood pilot. Additionally, we rigorously inspect every rental plane each 100 hours, nearly as involved as the annual. The plane is in perfect shape, despite on-screen appearances.
But it was one heck of a great sequence!
