N111W
I am thrilled to see that N111W is flying. My dad, Jack Horil, was the pilot for Ingram Contractors of New Orleans when this a/c was overhauled in the late 60's early 70's. I had the priveledge of climbing in and on 11W, as we called her, while she was built up. I also made many early morning flights to the oil fields with my Dad flying engineers, parts and roughnecks in the Louisiana oil fields. It is great to see Mr. Spies making a comment, I remember his dad had a tight crew cut. Bob Hall, Larry White, George Potter Sr. and Jr. and my dad all worked together on 11W at Potter aircraft on the west ramp of Lakefront Airport. Richard Horil |
