I have a scale model for this air plane. I would like to find photos of the real plane and possibly info so that I can start a scale info file for flying in scale events. Thank you

Why not settle for photos on this site of other Aeronca 15AC Sedans? Asking for specifically a photo of N1491H is a longer shot unless you request it directly to the owner and are successful in your request. Photo-wise all should have same appearance except some are on floats.

Go to the N1491H page from the A-D Home Page Search Aircraft, then click on All Aircraft made by Aeronca. There are many with the camera symbol denoting photos taken. I have several 15AC Sedan photos in my photos here-all are on floats, and easy to find. Those with original N numbers are grouped because Aeronca used a consecutive N number series with H as the suffix for the 15ACs. I looked at your Forum post and recognized it as an Aeronca 15AC N number.

If you need actual dimensions and performance figures for a 15AC Sedan (145 Hp version) I can supply those.

It would be great if you can supply the actual dimensions and performance figures for a 15AC Sedan (145 Hp version). Thanks for the tip, I did print off some of the photos I found, but for scale documentation I have to have a photo of the original plane. I know it is a shot in the dark with this post, but it is a start.
Thanks for Your help

Wikipedia's height data must be for the aircraft overall in level flight-parked on tail wheel would be overall 7 feet, 0 inches high, more important for hangar clearance. Wing chord is 66 inches. Engine choice could also be a 6 cylinder Continental O-300-A of 145 Hp in later years of production. A few also built with 6 cylinder Franklin 6A4-165-B3 165 Hp engine. Wing was single spar, metal skinned.

Seaplane-yes, the factory built a few as seaplanes with gross weight 2,100 lbs.

Some were fit with spray rig for cropdusting, approved 1949-1950 production.

Had 6.00X6 wheels fit with 7.00X6 tires on conventional taildragger with steerable tail wheel.

New paint scheme introduced for 1949-1950 production. Standard colors were choice of Red and Orange or Green and White.

Seaplane- S15AC approved on EDO 89-2000 twin float gear.

First production was serial #2 as N1000H in 1947. Highest serial number was #561 in 1950.
