No addition, Nick. Reread my title-these are California Airshows/events listings only. Reno is in Nevada, not California.

Anyone would be hard pressed to list every annual airshow/event in the United States. I have limited my annual Forum entries to just California events, and it is not all-inclusive. Some small, limited appeal monthly shows at out-of the way California airfields are not listed.

Hi Doug,

The dates are Thu 17th to Sun 20th of Sept, last year at Dayton we had 26 aircraft in attendance and we are hoping for at least this good a turnout with the air races.

Mar. 12-14 San Diego, NBAA Light Business Airplane Exhibition and Conference- *CANCELLED* due to current political incorrectness? Info: (1-800) 928-4283[/quote]

Why is this? They afraid someone is going to fly to Washington on a new biz jet they just ordered there and ask for a bailout?

I hope this doesn't affect NBAA 2009 in Orlando. This is a big money getter for my airport and the city and a lot of cool stuff comes in that I can go on board.

Daniel, Apparently the storm of congressional protest directed at the big American automobile manufacturers flying to the bailout hearings in their corporate executive jets put a damper on the NBAA Convention slated for San Diego. They decided to cancel. Investor's Business Daily had some comments about the fallout, as I recall. A phone call to the Information number should provide their official answer. I have not made the call-just reporting the updated news here.

I don't think your scenario could happen. My understanding of the tax law is a business use aircraft purchase can be 85% written off in the first year of purchase/use.

Daniel, I am long time AOPA member and get their email letter. More info will come, hence the TBA-To Be Announced. The new AOPA president seems to be shaking things up from the git-go. Since this started as a California event, I guess I am obliged to keep reporting it as I get more info. There is registration fee, etc.

Daniel,

The renamed AOPA AIRCRAFT SUMMIT meeting with vendor exhibits will be held in the Tampa Convention Center 5-7 November. The aircraft will be shown at the listed airport-TPF.

Edited to add EAA's 1945 B-17G "Aluminum Overcast" flights at twelve California locations commencing April 3-5 at Chino CNO. See full listings and pre-booking info. Pre-booking rides strongly suggested.
