It is not too early to plan attendance at the largest annual aircraft show in the world at Oshkosh, Wisconsin sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association. Known worldwide simply as "Oshkosh", hundreds of thousands will attend this 55th annual event which attracts not only Experimental Homebuilt Aircraft, but Light Sport Aircraft, Warbirds, ultralight aircraft, restored Antique and Classic aircraft, helicopters, autogyros, military aircraft, airships, gliders and the newest production aircraft models.

If it flies, you have a good chance of seeing it at Oshkosh. Awards are given for various aircraft categories, seminars are held, workshops are offered, airshow performances, and noted aviation authorities will be on hand. Also, the 60th anniversary of the United States Air Force formation in 1947 will be celebrated.

EAA Airventure dates in 2007 are July 23 through 29, inclusive, at Wittman Regional Airport, OSH.

Just announced is that the F-22 Raptor will make an extended four day appearance in conjunction with the 60th Anniversary celebration of the birth of the USAF at EAA Airventure 2007 arriving 26 July and on display including daily flight demos through 29 July, inclusive. Demos will include the "Mongo Flip", the "J-Turn', the "Pedal Turn" and the "Cobra". Otherwise. the F-22 Raptor will be on static display at the AeroShell Square Showcase ramp.

The press release info re the F-22 Raptor first public demo at the NBVC Airshow on 31 March and 1 April 2007 has been corrected in that post here in the Events Forum. (The F-22 actually made a brief first public appearance last year at EAA Airventure 2006).

(We aim to please and present correct and corrected information).
