I was the original owner of this aircraft. It was leased back to a flight school for approximately two years when some Yaywho rented it, took it on a cross-country, got into some IFR conditions (with NO instrument rating) and then totaled the aircraft. Fortunately, his wife and child escaped with no injuries, and the "Pilot" in question got a scratch on his arm. My feelings are that he should have at least suffered a broken neck for exposing his family to such a situation, and in the process ruining a perfectly good aircraft!
