My boyfriend and I are avid skydivers and he throws two major events each year for skydivers. It would be awesome if we could find a Pitts 2 seater (with a pilot Wink ) that is equipped for dropping jumpers. The events are in Florida. Thanks for any assitance!

This may sound strange, but I have never seen a 2 seat Pitts without the glass top. I am assuming that you jump over the side?
Have you jumped from one before?

It is unlikely that you have ever jumped from a Pitts, much less a 2 seat Pitts. You leave a Pitts under one circumstance only, and that is if the plane is damaged or incapacitated. Find an individual with a Cessna 172 class aircraft, with a removable door, and you will find that you will survive the first 1.2 seconds of the jump.

There does appear to be a version of the S-2A without a canopy

ZS-MZN on Airliners.net (must learn how to add quotes and URL's sometime!)

or maybe the canopy was temporarily removed.

Long, long way from Florida though!

Malcolm.

While it's not common, it is done fairly regularly. This particular one is a Pitts S-2C.
