why does this tail number come up as a

Michael,

The N number of the photographed Cessna 210 is N93285. An apparent shadow from the antenna or port on the fuselage suggests the confusion between the 3 and a 9. The side rear window looks like a shape mod, also. The plane is registered to the US Customs Service, which could account for the ,mods.

Looks like the second digit is a 3, not a 9.

Try N93285; and the description fits, since she has a few more aerials than the norm.
