Photograph usage conditions

Hello folks,

Can somebody clarify the conditions for use for Photographs. We'd like to use them in a flight tracking app. The app is free. Of course we are happy to cite photographer etc.

Is this allowed? Would appreciate any advice.

I guess the copyright lies with the individual photographer, so you would have to ask each one for permission. I am happy for mine to be used, as long as a) credit is given, and b) I will be notified if any are used, so that I can download the app and use it myself

I run a flight aware feeder site. I send my ADS-B data to FlightAware and another web site called www.adsbexchange.com. If you use their "global radar view" you'll see traffic in what ever area you have in view. When you select an aircraft it will search for photos using the aircraft registration number at multiple aircraft photo sites including this one.

So, you're not the only one doing this.

I tried using the api - but it seems to stop me using it after I've requested 40 thumbnails or so - is there a daily limit on the api?
