I just added a picture of N401SH but airport-data.com shows it as a Boeing 737.

The FAA registration has it correctly.
Google searches have it correctly.

I'm not sure how to correct this. I've looked at the help topics and the suggestion to contact the FAA is not useful as the FAA has it right.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Ehud

Hello Ehud,

Have a look here.

https://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Results.aspx?nNumberTxt=n401sh

You will see that all three aircraft are registered with the FAA under the same registration number.

This is common practise in several countries across the world.

Your photo is correctly placed in the database, but should you upload to an incorrect profile it can be readily relocated.

Thanks for your contribution.

Malcolm Clarke.

The FAA link shows 3 aircraft.

1. The real Cambri G2
2. A DEREGISTERED 737
3. A DEREGISTERD AW119

Why in the world would you take any of the deregistered profiles and use them instead of the active?

Ehud,

The site does not "take any of the deregistered profiles and use them instead of the active".

The site intends to include profiles for all aircraft whether registered or deregistered.

In the case you quote, the database provides for uploading photos to the currently registered aircraft as you have done and also for the uploading of photos to the other two aircraft profiles, whether taken whilst registered or after deregistration when they may be in museums, abandoned at airfields or awaiting renovation, etc.

Should a registered or deregistered aircraft not be found in the database, instructions for creating a profile and uploading a photo may be found under Quick Link - Upload New Aircraft Photo.
