Never have I seen so many derelict aircraft at a single airport. Nevertheless, like the old aircraft out front, this fine little airport is trying to stay alive.

This scenic little airport, like most of the aircraft parked on the apron, is somewhat rundown; yet, it tries to maintain an air of dignity in these changing - and threatening - times.

This venerable airport is in danger of being closed down, owing to complaints from nearby homeowners. But guess who was here first?

How cool is this? At Newark Academy, Livingston, NJ, the football field doubles as a helipad.

This is the passenger terminal; general aviation is located at the other end. As you can see, security is tight at this little airport.

This heliport serves the emergency and trauma center of Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morris County, NJ.

Welcome to the main terminal... or what's left of it.

Here is the centerpiece of the "wetlands mitigation area," in place to compensate for the woodlands cut down for a nearby strip mall. Ironically, according to Google Earth, this pond is the exact location of the geographic coordinates given here.

This was once the main turf runway, looking east. The section in the background is now a wetlands mitigation area, to compensate for the ecological footprint of the brand-new strip mall nearby.
