J-4077 @ LSMN - Photo taken during Wiederholungskurs 1993. This is one of the last Hunters to operate from this air base. A week later Raron was closed as a military airfield.
J-4077 @ LSMN		 J-4015 @ LSMJ - Photo taken during Wiederholungskurs 1993. This aircraft has the emblem of Fliegerkompanie 9 on the nose. Fl Kp 9 was the Hunter groundcrew unit.

J-4127 @ LSME - Former RNlAF Hunter N-313 was rebuilt by Hawker Siddeley to F.58A. Standards. It was scrapped in 1992.
J-4127 @ LSME		 J-4007 @ LSMJ - During the last deployment of Hunters to Turtmann airfield. This one has the badges of both Fl St 7 and Fl St 20 on the nose. The aircraft is now preserved by Hunterverein Interlaken.
J-4007 @ LSMJ		 J-4007 @ LSMI - After being withdrawn J-4007 ended up at Interlaken. Normally the Hunter is hardly seen in the open, but we happened to meet this aircraft outside its shed.

J-4065 @ LSMD		 J-4138 @ LSMJ - For the disbandment of Fliegerstaffel 2 a Hunter was painted all white and red, the colours of the FlST 2 emblem.

J-4026 @ LSME - In 1991 the display colours of the Patrouille Suisse were introduced. They were used for the last four years of Hunter operation.

J-4115 @ LSMD - One of the first Hunters I ever photographed. Seen during my very first trip to Switzerland.

J-4149 @ LSME - This classic jet fighter was still flying in large numbers. We saw over 60 different air frames during our stay in 1989.
J-4149 @ LSME		 J-4025 @ EGVA - In 1994 the Hunter was wfu by the Swiss AF. In 1995 this Hunter was presented to the RAFBF. this was its very last Swiss flight.

J-4118 @ LSME - During 1989 we made our first trip into Switzerland. We saw lots of aircraft that were hardly seen in Europe. The Hunters were among these.
J-4118 @ LSME		 J-4119 @ LSME - Unit badges used to be quite rare in the Swiss AF. This Hunter has the Fl St 2 badge on the nose. This Hunter was scrapped a year later.

J-4018 @ LSME - Badges on Swiss aircraft are quite rare. This Hunter has Fl St 2 markings.
J-4018 @ LSME		 J-4204 @ LSME - The Swiss Hunter trainers were used as ECM aircraft. The additional chaff/flare dispenser can be seen on the outer pylon.
J-4204 @ LSME		 J-4150 @ LSME - The Hunter F58A was a secondhand series of Hunter acquired by the Swiss AF. Most F58A's were scrapped in the early nineties.

J-4087 @ LSMI - In 1994 the very last exercise was held at Interlaken. In the background is the Hunter flightline where all participating aircraft were parked. J-4087 is still flying as HB-RVU.
J-4087 @ LSMI		 J-4087 @ LSMP - During the early nineties the Swiss skies were black with Hunters. It was not uncommon to see more than ten flying a day. This came to a sudden halt when the Hunter was withdrawn in 1994.

J-4138 @ LSMJ - This red paint lasted just one day. Hours after the disbanding ceremony of Fliegerstaffel 2 the paint was removed again. J-4138 was wfu September 1993 and scrapped.
J-4138 @ LSMJ		 J-4050 @ LSMJ - Turtmann was situated in the heart of the Alps. After take off the aircraft had to make a steep climb out of the Rhone valley. This Hunter carries two large bombs underneath the wings, making the aircraft even less manouvrable.
J-4050 @ LSMJ		 J-4003 @ LSMJ - In 1993 the last Exercise with Hunters was held on Turtmann AB. Parallel also Raron was active, giving about 20 active Hunters withing 15 kilometers.

J-4086 @ RARON		 J-4206 @ LSME - Another Hunter trainer that flew at the same day as J-4205. I was glad to be there that day!
J-4206 @ LSME		 J-4205 @ LSME - The Hunter fighterbomber used to be a common sight in Switzerland. The trainers however were hardly seen.

J-4057 @ LSMI - 1994 saw the last year of Hunter operation in Switzerland. This one was photograped at its war time base Interlaken during the last anual refresher course held here.

J-4022 @ EGVA		 J-4077 @ EBBE - In 1994 this Hunter was presented to the Belgian AF. After a long storage at Weelde it is now preserved in a shelter at Beauvechain.

J-4053 @ LSMM - When the Swiss Hunters taxied to the runway they used almost indecent speeds. On the nose is the badge of FlSt 15.
