This aircraft was delivered to the USAAF in June 1944 as a C-47A, but no record card is available for WWII service. What is known is that it continued serving with the USAAF, and in September 1954 it was modified for VIP transport as VC-47A. It then served with the North Dakota Air National Guard. At some point in its retirement from service it was placed on display at Bonanzaville museum in West Fargo, ND. Some time in late 1990s or early 2000s, the plane became part of the Eagles Aircraft Museum in Fargo, ND. |
