From Brett Stolle, CA, Curator, NMUSAF/MUA, Research Division, February 11th 2012. Thank you for contacting the National Museum of the United States Air Force. C-47A-60-DL 43-30677 was acquired by the Museum in August 1960. The aircraft remained on exhibit at the Museum until September 1970 when it was noted that the aircraft had extensive corrosion and poor physical condition; as a result, the aircraft was determined to be excess to the collection. The aircraft was then turned into DRMO and scrapped as salvage. |
