| I bought C-FXVO from Bob Dowhey of Ignace Airways in September of 1978, in floats and metal skis configuration. It had what looked like the original upholstery still in place. Over the next several years I had many mods done to it, including a skylight, new fabric, "fishing pole tube", new upholstery, etc., by George Allen of Allen Airways. I put many enjoyable hours flying over bush country on it until August 1982, utilizing it as a vehicle for my land surveying business out of Sioux Lookout in Northwest Ontario.
I sold it to Knobby Clarke, owner of Slate Falls Airways in Sioux Lookout, whose daughter Kim took her flight training on it. It was later sold to Ken Bernier, a "minnow man", also out of Sioux Lookout, and I last saw her some time later heading south down the highway on a truck with the wings off. |
