This Cessna 172B Skyhawk was damaged beyond repair in September 1977 and was acquired by the Irish Air Corps in October 1977 as an instructional airframe at Baldonnel. Named “Avionics 3” it was certainly still in use there in April 1992, having been permanently withdrawn from use by the Civil Aviation Authority on August 6, 1980. It is now resident with the Irish Air Corps Museum. |
