Originally built as a Night Fighter (see Air Britain Sopwith Pup book), and saw active service - no further info. This aircraft was bought in 1920 from Croydon Aircraft Disposals as one of a pair (the other G-EAVX was bought by A.R.M. Rickards). The owner of this aircraft was a famous Norwegian explorer (Scott expedition) called Tryggve Gran. An abortive attempt to fly the aircraft to Norway was carried out in December 1920. After that the aircraft disappears from the records. It is possible that the aircraft went to Norway. Any information regarding this is sought. | |

This aircraft was not bought as one of a pair. I had the wrong registration. It was G-EAVW (ex C312) and G-EAVW (ex B1807) which were bought at Croydon as a pair. |
